Erwin Rauch

Erwin Rauch was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Erwin Rauch was captured by American troops in September 1944 after the fall of Brest.
